The Harmonic Integrative Training program is a series of routines that works your mind, body and emotions together with meditations to create a complete workout of all of your systems. The routines were developed from the study of Western sports and physical training, Eastern martial arts, meditation, communication and biology. All of the routines use a form of guided acceleration, showing you how to systematically push past your limits in a controlled way, allowing for max out efforts in each cycle, as well as conditioning, while limiting the chances of injuries.
The Self Workout
- The base of the program upon which the rest is built is the Self Workout. It combines complex physical, mental, and emotional aspects woven together with tones. It starts as a set of stretches that enhances flexibility, while improving strength and muscular endurance. The breathing patterns and tones allow for deep stretching, which strengthens the ligaments and tendons, as well as increasing their ranges of motion, and helps to prevent injuries. The tones increase awareness of your mind and body, and aid in building conscious communication with all of the different parts. Then, there are mental and emotional aspects which cause you to use the left and right hemispheres of the brain in unison. All of the parts working together multiply the connections of the conscious and subconscious minds, increasing access to the latter's much greater strength. The routine trains the mind, body and emotions to work together in a coordinated fashion. It shows how to stretch towards your whole mind, including the physical and emotional aspects, and how to use everything as a single unit. This strengthens your mind and increases its effectiveness and awareness. The emotional aspect trains you to work with your emotions, and leaves a well of positive emotions to help you through your day.
Conditioning
- The conditioning routine is a run with constantly progressing speeds originally derived from Fartlek, a Scandinavian form of interval training, though it can be adapted to most other forms of conditioning. Form is rigorously developed, as one of the main reasons many do not enjoy running is that small imperfections make a large difference. Also, exercising for long periods of time at the same intensity is physically and mentally exhausting, and your body quickly adapts and plateaus. Proper cardio work is more about changing your heart rate, not keeping it as high as possible for as long as possible. This is why so many have switched to interval or tempo training. It is not only more effective, it is more enjoyable since it is constantly changing and does not become monotonous. The routine has a fully incorporated meditation that enhances its effectiveness and makes it more approachable. The meditation helps the body work more efficiently as the deeper breathing increases your available oxygen and gives you something to focus on instead of whether or not you are feeling tired. The conditioning routine is what gets everything moving at full speed.
Lifting
- The lifting routines are what train for practical applications, and stress the interconnectedness of the many parts of the musculoskeletal system. Using a unique lifting style that focuses on natural motions, you can achieve full muscle firings without the risk of injury and joint wear and tear from using near max weights. It also shows you how to use your whole body in support of each lift, and trains your muscles to accelerate while maintaining control.
